Shortly after I turned 20, I accepted my first teaching job, teaching Mathematics and Physics at the
University of Otago.
When I was 22 I moved to Taiwan and began teaching English to kindergarten and pre school children. I enjoyed it so much I have been doing it ever
since.
The most important part of teaching is relationships, in particular, between the teacher and students. The teacher and students need to love
and respect each other.
The second most important part is interest. Only boring people get bored and only boring teachers have boring classes.
There needs to be creativity, humour, life and good fun!
My other passion is performing. I have been performing for 13 years. In this time I have done shows in 7 countries including 3 shows for the President of Taiwan.
